Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse - Colorado Springs, CO. This position involves providing critical patient care within the Emergency Room of a healthcare facility. The role requires flexibility to float across multiple ER locations within Zone 1, with an emphasis on team collaboration and quick decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Certifications and Experience: Current ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), PALS (American Heart Association), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), and TNCC certifications. Minimum of 2 years of ER experience required.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Provide emergency care for a diverse patient population, including those with abdominal pain, diabetes, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, and hypertension. Perform and interpret telemetry, EKGs, ABGs, and other relevant procedures. Support in triage, assist with lab draw and point-of-care testing, and operate ER equipment.
• Additional Information: Will need to float within Region 1 ERs, including several hospitals in Colorado Springs and nearby locations. Must be available for a 13-week contract, with orientation requiring presence in the state for one week. Candidate must submit a two-week notice to avoid penalty. No home facility, and shifts can be scheduled with some flexibility based on unit needs.
