Job Summary
A Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) position is available at a healthcare facility, with a start date of September 21, 2026. This role involves supporting sterile instrument reprocessing and endoscope reprocessing within a Level 1 academic medical center, ensuring compliance with sterilization protocols and service line requirements.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: CRCST (HSPA) certification required; 5 years of sterile processing experience required; minimum of 2 travel assignments for at least 13 weeks each; 1 year experience in a level 1 academic medical center with 20 or more operating rooms required; Service Line experience needed.
- Schedule: Rotating shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional responsibilities include decontamination, preparation and pack, steam sterilization, low temperature sterilization, and endoscope reprocessing.
- Recent case pick and sterilization experience required for various service lines, including robotics, general, cardiac, neuro, and more.
- Familiarity with Olympus scopes, loaner trays, DaVinci Robot Xi, and hand washing delicate items is preferred.
- The candidate must have reliable transportation and be prepared to work every other weekend, with bi-weekly orientations on Mondays.
- All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained, and all work history details must be complete to submit the application.
