Description

Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Department Nurse in a rural healthcare facility. This role involves providing care to antepartum, labor, postpartum, and neonatal patients, with a focus on teamwork, provider collaboration, and independent clinical skills. Candidates will be responsible for utilizing specific certifications and experience to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

  • Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
  • Education Requirements: Registered Nurse (RN) license, BSN preferred.
  • Location Requirements: Candidates must be licensed to practice in the state where the facility is located.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent labor and delivery experience required.
  • Shift Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Includes managing antepartum, labor, postpartum, and neonatal patients, with specific tasks related to neonatal vent management and electronic fetal heart monitoring systems.
  • Orientation: 3 days of unit-specific orientation with 12-hour shifts needed prior to start.
  • Other Requirements: Ability to pass fit testing for PPE facial masks; candidates with facial hair must pass the Portacount test.
  • Notes: This role involves floating to MSP/ED for support, sitting 1:1 with patients, and adhering to facility-specific protocols including RTO and scheduling policies.
