Job Summary
Operating Room Nurse, located within the region, is responsible for providing direct patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role entails utilizing the nursing process to ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, and equitable care during a specified shift, with potential to float between departments and local locations within 20 miles.

Job Details

• Float between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required.
• Minimum two (2) years current experience required in large operating rooms.
• Candidate must be able to scrub.
• Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast-paced environments.
• Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.
• Epic experience preferred, but not required; training available on-site.
• Ortho, EENT, and/or vascular experience a plus.
• Certifications & Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License, BLS required, with additional certifications such as ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
• Schedule: Days, 8 hours per shift, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday starting at 6:30 AM.
• The position involves patient assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation in accordance with unit standards and protocols, including medication administration, patient and family education, and clinical supervision of non-licensed personnel.
