Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) in the healthcare organization located in New York State. This role involves protecting, promoting, and optimizing patient health and abilities through diagnosis, treatment, and advocacy. The RN will ensure compliance with all standards of nursing practice, support patient-centered care, and contribute to a healing environment within the emergency department.

Job Details

• Qualifications: Current New York State Registered Nurse License, BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross), ACLS certification, Associate's degree from an accredited school of Nursing, a minimum of 3 years of current experience working in an Emergency Department (ED), and previous traveler experience with knowledge in trauma, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, and pediatric care.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities:
  • Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care, serving as a primary or accountable nurse based on unit assignment.
  • Educate patients and families in health promotion and disease management using available resources.
  • Safely administer medications in accordance with hospital policies.
  • Contribute to staffing, resource utilization, and productivity efforts.
  • Comply with all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and policies.
  • Support the Nursing Shared Governance Model and participate in improvement initiatives.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, continuing education, and mandatory training.
  • Incorporate current evidence and nursing research into practice.
  • Provide support and mentorship for new staff and students.
  • Perform duties related to Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator roles when assigned.
