Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Nurse in en_US This position involves providing advanced perioperative care to patients undergoing open heart procedures within a healthcare organization. The role requires circulating in at least three specialties including cardiac, vascular, and thoracic (robotic), with highly preferred scrub experience.

Job Details

  • Schedule (40 hours/week): Four 10-hour shifts from 6:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. (primary), with rotation to 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., or five 8-hour shifts from 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., with rotation to 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • One weekend of call per month for cardiac or endovascular emergencies, with a response time of 30 minutes when on call.
  • One 2- or 4-hour short call shift per week, scheduled between 5:15 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., or other specified times.
  • CVI call from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. for cardiac or endovascular emergencies.
  • Holidays are open for work while on contract.
  • Required Qualifications: Licensed Registered Nurse with 1-3 years of related work experience and American Heart Association - Basic Life Support Certification. ACLS certification required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a teaching hospital and specialty area expertise.
  • Certification in circulating in at least three specialties: cardiac, vascular, ENDOVASCULAR, thoracic (robot), highly preferred scrub experience.
  • Must have a license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
  • Note: No local travelers accepted (cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility).
  • Start date: ASAP, within 4 weeks for compliance with orientation, which occurs weekly (every Monday, barring a holiday).
  • All interview dates and times must be provided at the time of submission.
  • No references to facility or hospital names are included; all are referred to generically as "the organization" or "the healthcare provider."
  • Travel is not required for this position.
