Description
Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Specialist located in Frankfort, KY. This position involves providing specialized care for women during labor, delivery, and postpartum within a Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and nursery setting. The role requires delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Job Details
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN required.
- Education Requirements: Must have Kentucky license or Compact license at submission.
- Experience: 2 years of hospital setting experience, with preference for candidates having 3 or more years of L&D experience.
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities include managing vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, induction of labor, IUFD, IV insertions, lab draws, sterile vaginal exams, epidural assistance, and Foley catheter placement.
- The candidate must be a team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff.
- Additional details: Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections.
