Description

Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Specialist located in Frankfort, KY. This position involves providing specialized care for women during labor, delivery, and postpartum within a Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and nursery setting. The role requires delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Job Details

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN required.
Education Requirements: Must have Kentucky license or Compact license at submission.
Experience: 2 years of hospital setting experience, with preference for candidates having 3 or more years of L&D experience.
Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities include managing vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, induction of labor, IUFD, IV insertions, lab draws, sterile vaginal exams, epidural assistance, and Foley catheter placement.
The candidate must be a team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff.
Additional details: Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections.
