Job Summary
The organization is seeking a registered nurse specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a healthcare facility. This nursing role involves assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting patient care in accordance with organizational policies and professional standards, utilizing specialized knowledge and clinical skills to provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population.

Job Details

• Position Description: This role involves comprehensive patient assessment, care planningincluding discharge planningand coordination of care with multidisciplinary teams. The nurse will provide direct patient care based on physician orders and established policies, delegate tasks appropriately, and monitor patient responses. Responsibilities also include documentation, participation in professional activities, and mentoring staff.
• Required Qualifications: Current, valid RN license in the state of practice, BLS certification. Experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months in the specialty area.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shift hours, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The position requires physical agility, the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and effective communication skills. Proficiency with standard precautions due to exposure risks is necessary. Experience in the clinical area is desired; clinical performance competencies must be maintained annually.
