Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an Operating Room Technician (ORT) for a healthcare facility in Wausau. This role involves setting up operative suites, scrubbing surgical cases across various specialties, and ensuring equipment and supplies are prepared for procedures. The position requires a motivated, dedicated professional with Cardiothoracic (CVOR) experience to support a team of cardiothoracic surgeons in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent; 2+ years of Cardiothoracic (CVOR) experience; CST license, NBSTSA or NCCT certification, BLS certification required; experience with thoracic robot preferred.
• Schedule: 630-1500 Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Efficiently set up operative suites, manage case carts, scrub surgical procedures across multiple specialties, and maintain room turnover. Ensure supplies are available for approximately 50-60 cardiothoracic cases monthly. Perform downtime tasks such as cleaning and case cart management during low activity periods.
• Additional Information: May be required to float to all Central Aspirus locations as needed. On-call requirements include one night per week, one weekend per month, and one backup per week, with a 30-minute response time. During flu season, unvaccinated staff must wear masks at all times. The contract is for 13 weeks with an approximate start date of 09/14/2026.
