Description
Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Not specified. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, level 3 trauma center, providing critical care to diverse patient populations including trauma, stroke, pediatrics, behavioral health, and infectious diseases. The position involves floating between units as needed to support staffing needs.
Job Details:
- Qualifications: Valid emergency nursing certification, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications required. Must have at least 1 year of experience in emergency nursing, with experience in interpreting dysrhythmias, managing multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, and caring for ventilated patients. Valid state license required; a compact license accepted.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The ER handles a high volume of trauma, stroke, pediatric, and infectious disease cases, with a patient census of 22 beds and approximately 26 patients daily. Must be flexible to float between units and work three of five major holidays. Orientation includes 12 hours of training. Candidates must have a minimum of one year of ER experience, and references covering at least one year within the last three years are required.
