Job Summary
Surgical Technician/Operating Room Tech ORT located in the healthcare setting. This role involves assisting surgeons with planning and preparing for surgical procedures, ensuring sterilization of equipment, and assembling case carts for scheduled and emergency surgeries. It requires expertise in vascular and breast procedures, including laparoscopic hiatal hernia, endovascular, and breast oncology procedures.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: High school diploma, NBSTSA Certification as a surgical technologist (CST), 2 years of experience in an operating room setting, BLS certification, and a minimum of 2 years of vascular and breast procedure experience.
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with on-call duties 2-3 days per week and every other weekend.
• Responsibilities include assisting the surgeon, sterilizing surgical equipment, and preparing operative cases, as well as supporting various specialized procedures such as laparoscopic hiatal hernia, endovascular, and breast oncology surgeries.
• Candidates should have good communication skills and enable skills-based hiring.
