Job Summary
Mother/Baby Care Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery in an acute care setting. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for postpartum and mother/baby patients, ensuring high standards of safety and quality of care throughout the assigned shift.

Job Details

• Shift Time: Nights
• Shift Hours: 12 hours
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Required Qualifications: Must possess a current, valid registered nurse license in the state of practice, or a temporary/interim license, or a compact licensure for the current state. BLS certification is required. Experience in mother/baby or maternal health in an acute care hospital setting is preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in nursing and professional certification in maternal or neonatal care are preferred.
• Additional Information: The nurse will perform assessments, develop care plans including discharge planning, and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams. They will document patient data in accordance with policies, participate in shared leadership activities, and support patient education. The role also involves interacting with patients, families, and other healthcare providers to ensure patient-centered care.
