Job Summary
Postpartum Nurse (L&D Post Partum) Level 1 Facility Nights
This position involves providing comprehensive care to obstetric and neonatal patients in a level 1 facility. The registered nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to low-risk pregnant women, stabilizing preterm and high-risk neonates for transfer, and working independently in a neonatal nursery. The role requires the ability to respond swiftly to medical emergencies and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

Job Details

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring (AWHONN, Inteleos)
• Education Requirements: MI RN License
• Location Requirements: Not specified
• Years of Experience: 0 years minimum (experience requirement: 0 years)
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week. Shifts are from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with two weekend shifts every two weeks.
• Responsibilities include caring for low-risk pregnant patients, stabilizing preterm and sick neonates, working independently in a level 1 nursery, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care.
• Additional Information: The RN must be comfortable working in emergent situations, including triage and emergent cesarean sections. Must be able to quickly stabilize sick newborns for transfer and provide postpartum care.
