Job Summary
ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse in North Charleston, SC. This position involves providing advanced critical care for patients on ventilators, managing complex hemodynamics, and performing specialized procedures such as neuro interventions and post-operative cardiac care. The role requires flexibility in float assignments, assisting with emergency department tasks, and ensuring high-quality patient handoffs.

Job Details

  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale required. BSN preferred; advanced certifications and TNCC certification preferred.
  • Education: No specific degree requirement; 36 months of RN experience, with at least one year in a critical care setting.
  • Experience: Minimal experience required is one year, with an emphasis on ICU experience including ventilator management and telemetry reading.
  • Location: North Charleston, SC.
  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Responsibilities include caring for ICU patients, managing ventilators, performing neuro and cardiac procedures, and documenting patient care using Meditech system.
  • Additional clinical skills include CRRT, advanced hemodynamics, phlebotomy, and respiratory treatments outside of ICU.
  • Floating policy: Travelers are the first to float, potentially working in emergency or progressive care units.
