Job Summary
ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse Region Two, Washington. This position involves providing critical care nursing services primarily in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with float coverage to Intensive Care Units (ICU). The role requires working night shifts and supporting multiple facilities within the designated region, ensuring high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

  • Location: Region Two, Washington including duties at a core facility with additional float assignments to other hospitals within the region.
  • Position Description: Primarily PCU with float to ICU. Coverage includes critical care for various patient diagnoses with a focus on adult critical care.
  • Required Qualifications: ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS Certification; minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care setting; no specified experience minimum, but a minimum of 2 years is preferred; valid license to submit and willingness to wait for licensure; location in Washington or eligible to practice there.
  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: Primarily nights with rotating weekends and holidays. No Ventilator (vent) management in PCU; drips include cardizem, nitro, insulin, heparin (no pressors). Float eligibility between all ICU and PCU units. One-week orientation planned with an educator at most, minimum two shifts.
  • Certifications/Qualifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS
  • Shift Notes: Nights, every other weekend; potential rotation including weekends and holidays; no scrub color specified; tele/monitor techs only in PCU.
  • Responsibility Details: Managing critical care patients, supporting hospitalist or intensivist in-house, and working with various critical care equipment and medications.
