Job Details:
- Position Description: This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care for pediatric patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. The nurse is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others under their direction, utilizing specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills. Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, developing and revising care plans, coordinating direct patient care, delegating tasks, and ensuring effective communication among healthcare team members. The nurse provides ongoing evaluation of patient responses to treatment and teaching, maintains accurate documentation, and participates in quality improvement initiatives.
- Required Qualifications: Current, valid RN license in the state of practice, BLS certification, 12-hour shift schedule, minimum of 1-year experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months, ability to work a minimum of 36 hours per week, and experience in pediatric hematology and oncology are required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in nursing and professional certification in Pediatric Hematology Oncology are preferred.
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Clinical responsibilities include providing care to pediatric oncology patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and participating in patient-centered activities designed to promote excellent outcomes and safety.
