Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Specialist in the Surgical Department at a healthcare facility. This role involves assisting with orthopedic procedures in a busy OR setting, supporting surgical teams, and ensuring adherence to unit policies and procedures. The position is suitable for candidates with orthopedic surgical experience and offers consistent daytime hours.

Job Details

• Location: 2nd Floor Operating Room in a healthcare facility with 17 beds, 7 operating rooms, and a non-trauma emergency room.
• Position Description: Assist with orthopedic surgical procedures, including large joints and spine surgeries, supporting the surgical team and maintaining sterile technique.
• Required Qualifications: Certification as required, relevant healthcare experience in orthopedic surgery, minimum of 1 year of surgical assistance experience, and ability to work dayshift hours.
• Schedule: Days, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting at 6:45 am, with shift ending at 5:15 pm.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with total joints and spine surgery, familiarity with Meditech electronic medical records, and experience in orthopedic OR settings.
• Additional Information: The unit has a high patient satisfaction rate, utilizes modern equipment, and has a supportive team environment. Candidates should be prepared for a call approximately four times per month, strictly on weekdays.
