Job Summary
The Intensive Care Unit Float (ICU Float) Registered Nurse works within a healthcare facility providing specialized nursing care in the Intensive Care Unit. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with hospital standards and unit policies, ensuring optimal patient outcomes during night shifts.
Job Details
- Position: Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit Float for the organizations healthcare provider location.
- Certification & Education: Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License; Completion of a basic professional curriculum of a school of nursing as approved and verified by a state board of nursing; BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required.
- Experience: 0 to 6 months of related experience; 1 year of experience preferred.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process to care for assigned patients, completing assessments, individualizing plans of care, carrying out nursing skills appropriate for the patient population, and documenting care accurately.
- Additional clinical responsibilities involve patient teaching, referrals, collaboration with other healthcare disciplines, and supporting hospital goals through educational activities and quality improvement initiatives.
