Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring compact or Oklahoma RN licensure and prior med/surg or step-down experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Med/Surg unit on 3rd Floor Overflow
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
• May be floated to any area of the hospital
• Med/Surg and step-down experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma or compact eNLC) required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required, BSN preferred
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques and procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to patients with a range of health conditions from simple to complex
• Assess, monitor, and document patient responses to treatments and interventions
• Administer medications and manage IV infusions and blood products as prescribed
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Collaborate with patients and families on care plans and discharge planning
• Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• Travelers may extend a contract one time for a maximum of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
• Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced, with no flexibility for start date pushes
• Onboarding requirements, including background checks and drug screening, must begin immediately upon offer
