Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) nurse position in the healthcare organization. This role involves providing patient care on a unit that specializes in medical-surgical and telemetry services, including post-procedure and post-surgical patient management. The position requires the ability to interpret electrocardiograms (EKGs) and to titrate cardiac medication drips.

Job Details

• Certifications and Requirements: ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS; 2 years of clinical experience required.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours each, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Unit Notes: Floating to similar or lower acuity units may be required, including Telemetry, MedSurg, and certain specialized units such as Neuro and cardiac units. Notification of unit and campus given 1.5 hours prior to shift start; floating between campuses (distance approximately 9 miles, with clock-in/out procedures).
• Responsibilities: Titration of cardiac medication drips, interpretation of EKGs, managing post-surgical and vascular patients, and providing care for neuro patients.
• Additional Details: Floor-specific orientation is 2 shifts; no in-house hospitalist or intensivist; pharmacy and RT support available 24/7; blood and blood product management; specific patient populations include post-cath lab, post-vascular procedures, and neuro surgeries.
