Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the emergency room setting. The ER Nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents patient care in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards, ensuring safety and optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

  • Position Description: This role includes assessing patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs. The ER Nurse reviews patient history, physical assessments, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and caregivers. Responsibilities also include formulating and revising care plans, providing direct patient care, delegating duties, and evaluating patient responses to treatment. The position emphasizes documentation, evidence-based practice, collaborative care, and participation in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license in the state of practice, BLS certification, and experience in an acute care hospital or emergency setting within the past 12 months.
  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: The role requires interaction with multidisciplinary teams, documentation of all aspects of patient care, and active participation in professional development. Clinical performance competencies must be maintained through annual validations.
