Job Summary
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) RN Schedule: Days, Monday through Friday, 10-hour shifts. This position involves circulating cases in a high-volume cardiac cath lab environment, including interventional cardiology, radiology, vascular, structural heart, and electrophysiology procedures. The role requires dedicated patient monitoring and medication administration during a variety of complex cardiovascular and vascular interventions.

Position Description:
Circulating RN responsibilities include administering medications and sedation, monitoring patients throughout procedures, and potentially scrubbing if trained. The environment involves a mix of diagnostic and interventional cases such as heart caths, PCIs, device implants, ports, dialysis catheters, IVC filters, AAA repairs, TAVR, mitraclip, atrial appendage closures, and ablations. The cath lab operates Monday to Friday from 0700 to 1730 with a call team for after-hours coverage, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts. -
Required Qualifications:
Valid RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association. Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a cath lab, interventional radiology, vascular, or structural heart setting. Preferably, candidates will have experience with EMR systems such as Cerner, and familiarity with equipment including Phillips x-ray tables, ultrasound, Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump, laser atherectomy, CSI, rotablator, angiojet, FFR, IVUS, OCT, and CO? angiography. -
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 07:00 AM to 05:30 PM, totaling 40 hours per week, with possible call coverage including weeknights, weekends, and holidays. -
Additional Information:
The team is led by an interim cath lab manager and a charge nurse. The role might involve floating as a team nurse or assisting within the department based on hospital census and staffing needs. Orientation includes a one-day hospital-wide and two-day department-specific training. Shift cancellations are allowed up to four times per 13-week assignment.
