Job Summary
Interventional Radiology (IR) Specialist Location: Not specified. This role involves providing specialized care within the interventional radiology department, supporting procedures such as port placements, liver biopsies, IVC placements, G-tube placements, PICC and Central Line placements, as well as neuro interventions including coiling, thrombectomy, and embolizations. The position requires collaboration with the team to ensure high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, multi-room environment.
Job Details
- Certifications and Education Requirements: ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association) RN license valid for the state, with at least 2 years of cath lab experience, including IABP experience.
- Location Requirements: Candidates must reside within 80 miles of the facility.
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 4 ten-hour days per week, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, plus on-call responsibilities. Shift rotation includes a rotating day off, with potential consideration for 5-8 hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Additional Responsibilities: Verify patient orders and consent, perform comprehensive assessments, educate patients, set up and circulate cases, administer moderate sedation, monitor hemodynamics, document procedures, and coordinate with healthcare team.
- Experience or Skills: Minimum 2 years cath lab experience, specific experience dependent on utilization, with proficiency in IABP.
- EMR System: Merge, Cerner.
- On-Call and Staffing: On-call responsibility approximately once every 3 weekdays and for weekend rotations, including holiday call. Call response time is 30 minutes.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Documentation: Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility.
- Orientation: Typically includes 2-3 full days of training/shadowing, followed by buddy call. No call in the first week; second week on call with a buddy, then on their own.
- Additional notes: Clinicians must note if they have previously worked for Marshfield, with an end date at least 6 months prior to submission.
