Job Summary
Step Down Unit Nurse (Specialty: Step Down) Night shift, located in the healthcare provider organization. This role involves providing high-quality care for patients with moderate to severe illness in a specialized unit, supporting patient recovery and stability.

Job Details

• Position Description:
  The role involves working in a 26-bed intermediate care unit with a focus on conditions such as CHF, COVID pneumonia, Afib with RVR, tachy/ brady syndrome, and syncope. The nurse will take charge of patient care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including hospitalists and e-hospitalists, and handling cardiopulmonary equipment such as Bipap, Cpap, and Vapotherm.

• Required Qualifications:
  Active Illinois license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated; BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association) certifications; minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar setting; Covid-19 negative drug screen; and compliance with employment requirements including last four digits of SSN and middle initial.

• Schedule:
  Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 48 hours per week.

• Additional Information:
  Travel assignments expect float rotation, accommodating unit ratios of 1:4 or 1:5, with orientation consisting of one hospital shift and two unit shifts. The shift schedule includes every other weekend and every other holiday, with no holiday or call requirements.
