Job Summary:
ICU Nurse, located in the metropolitan area, is responsible for providing specialized care to critically ill patients within a dynamic hospital environment. The role involves managing a combined acuity unit that includes ICU, PCU, and MST patients, utilizing advanced skills to monitor and treat a wide spectrum of acute conditions.

Job Details:

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS; minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required.
• Education: RN license required.
• Location: The position is based in the designated healthcare facility in the metropolitan region.
• Experience: At least 2 years in ICU setting; experience in PCU/Med Surg beneficial.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include managing patient care across multiple acuities, performing 12-lead EKGs, reading cardiac strips, and operating critical RT equipment such as vents, Cpap, and BiPap.
• The role requires flexibility for floating to other units including Pediatric and West Campus ICU/PCU to maintain competency.
• Nurses must pass and maintain proficiency in a dysrhythmia exam, with policies in place regarding facility work within the past year and radius restrictions.
