Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) Nurse in a healthcare facility is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients with various medical conditions, including post-surgical, complex wounds, and general medical cases. This position involves managing continuous patient monitoring, titrating drips, and ensuring accurate documentation within electronic health record systems.

Job Details

• Certifications required: BLS (American Heart Association); ACLS preferred.
• Education requirements: RN license required.
• Location requirements: Must hold a valid RN license to work at the facility.
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience required; 0 years minimum experience listed.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include managing IVs, drains, ostomies, wound vacs, NG tubes, Foley catheters, and patient monitoring through electronic health records.
• Experience with titratable and set-rate drips such as Heparin, insulin, diltiazem, amiodarone, and nitroglycerin is necessary.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional information: The unit has a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 during the day and 1:6 during night shifts, with support staff including nurse aides and respiratory therapists. No call, holiday, or weekend standby requirements. Orientation includes computer training and shadowing for 24 hours. Candidates must have worked for Marshfield at least 6 months prior or be new to the facility.
