Job Summary
Telemetry (TELE) Nurse in a hospital setting will provide specialized patient care across multiple hospital units, including Med/Surg Telemetry, Emergency Department, psychiatric units, and ICU transfer patients. This role involves monitoring cardiac activity, administering cardiac drips, interpreting telemetry strips, and ensuring patient safety in a dynamic inpatient environment.

Job Details

• Certifications & Experience: Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and at least 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location, along with 2 years of experience as a traveler.
• Schedule: Days and evenings shifts, typically 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Rotation between days/evenings and up to 3 rotations to night shifts per contract.
• Position Description: Responsible for cardiac monitoring, executing cardiac drips, reading telemetry strips every 4 hours, and managing a diverse patient population including ED border patients, mental health medication nurses, and non-vented ICU transfer patients.
• Unit Description: Floating across 8 hospital units in a facility with 371 beds, ranging from 8 to 41 beds per unit, including specialized areas such as emergency, mental health, and ICU transfer units.
• EMR System: EPIC charting system used for documentation.
• Additional Information: Must be willing to float to all designated units and work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
