Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Level I Trauma Emergency Department position requiring an active MA RN license and prior Level I trauma experience.

Details

• Level I Trauma Center emergency department setting
• Night shift, 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Assignment length options ranging from 13-26 weeks, with priority given to 26-week contracts
• 36 or 48 hours per week scheduling options available
• Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Includes care for Psych/Behavioral Health ED patients

Requirements

• Active MA RN license in hand required
• Minimum 1.5 years of experience required (2+ years preferred)
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS (NIHSS and TNCC preferred)
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry
• Skilled in respiratory care and management of ventilated patients
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response
• Triage skills required

Additional Information

• Orientation includes pass/fail medication and telemetry exams, each with only 1 attempt; failure results in immediate contract cancellation
• Study materials provided during compliance process and orientation to prepare for exams
• 1 major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's) must be included in RTO
• Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review; no RTO allowed during the first week
• Priority given to candidates with minimal RTO and 26-week contract length
• Local candidates accepted within a 200-mile radius at the same bill rate
• Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
• No prior travel nursing experience required
