Job Summary
Step Down Unit, Nursing, Location: Not specified. This position involves providing specialized care in a neuro step-down and progressive care setting, with a focus on neuro patients requiring drip titration and advanced monitoring. The role supports a team-based environment and requires adherence to unit-specific procedures and protocols.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: IN or Compact RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIH certification required; minimum of 1 year experience in a similar setting; scheduled shift is nights, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 36 hours weekly, nights shift.
- Required Qualifications: IN or Compact RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIH certification, minimum 1-year experience in neuro step-down or progressive care units.
- Additional Information: Previous neuro experience is required; float to other units/departments may be necessary, including MedSurg and Telemetry units, with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio when floated. The unit employs EPIC and PYXIS systems, as well as Philips defibrillators and bedside monitors. Orientation includes Jumpstart and EPIC training, with 1-2 days on the unit. The shift involves working three weekends every four weeks and following the Caribbean blue scrubs dress code.
