Job Summary
A healthcare organization is seeking a qualified Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Float registered nurse for a night shift position. This role involves providing specialized patient care within an ICU setting, with flexibility to float between units, including pediatrics, adult medical-surgical, and other critical care areas, ensuring high standards of patient safety and quality care.

Job Details

• Position: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Float Nurse
• Location: (Location not specified, but within a healthcare organizations facility)
• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit, ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), and PALS (American Heart Association) certifications; minimum of 2 years of ICU experience or pediatric experience preferred; no specific minimum experience required otherwise.
• Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric ICU experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• Responsibilities: Providing advanced patient care in critical care units, reading rhythm strips, titrating drips such as Heparin, Insulin, Amiodarone, and others, and floating between units including Emergency Department, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, and Pediatric units as needed.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (must be current).
• Additional Information: Float rotation may be required. In-house to Emergency Department, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, and Pediatric Acute Care units based on census needs. Involves in-house floating to other units as required, with in-unit orientation and shift-specific training.
• Note: Candidates must have worked for Marshfield within the past six months to be considered.
