Job Details

• Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred; 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred; BLS certification required (American Heart Association); RN License in the state of New Mexico or an approved compact license.
• Schedule: 4 Days, 10 Hours/Day; 40 hours per week minimum.
• Specialty: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL).
• Shift: Days.
• Experience: Minimum of 0 years required, 1 year preferred.
• Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
  • Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
  • Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
  • Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
  • Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
  • Make appropriate patient care assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers to facilitate clinical management.

  • Maintain awareness of all relevant aspects of clinical situations, including long-range planning and contingencies.
