Home Healthcare Registered Nurse (RN) Newport News / Suffolk area. This role involves providing home health services to geriatric patients, with a focus on delivering comprehensive care through routine visits, assessments, and wound care. The position requires experience with electronic charting and OASIS documentation, along with flexibility for on-call rotations.

Job Details

• Position: RN (Registered Nurse) - Home Healthcare, with two positions available in the Newport News / Suffolk area.
• Specialty: Home Healthcare (HH)
• Shift: Days, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Certifications: CPR/BLS required, active license in hand at submission
• Experience and Education: Minimum of 1 year relevant experience, including OASIS experience for staff completing Start of Care, proficiency in Homecare Homebase (HCHB), and home health care background.
• Schedule: Shift times are days, 8 hours per day, totaling at least 40 hours weekly.
• Additional Requirements: Timely communication and documentation are mandatory. All travelers must have an active drivers license and personal transportation.
• Responsibilities: Conduct admission assessments, routine visits, start of care, wound management, medication assessments, pain and infection control, IV start and maintenance, phlebotomy, and safe discharge procedures.
• On-Call: On-call rotation may be required, discussed during interview.
• Other Details: RTO requests must be submitted at application; former permanent employees must be separated for at least six months prior to reapplying as a traveler. Modules are billable and completed during orientation.
