Job Summary
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) RN position is based in a healthcare facility where the professional will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for critically ill patients. This role involves utilizing specialized nursing knowledge and judgment to deliver high-quality care aligned with organizational policies and professional standards.

Job Details

• Certifies a current, valid RN license in the state of practice, or a temporary/interim RN license, or a compact RN license for the current state of practice. BLS certification is required.
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred; a minimum of one year of recent experience as a registered nurse in an acute care environment within the past 12 months is recommended.
• Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• The RN will be responsible for patient assessments, developing and revising care plans, administering treatments, and documenting patient information.
• The role requires effective communication with physicians, patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participation in ongoing education, research, professional development, and unit-specific leadership activities is encouraged.
• Candidates must demonstrate competency in clinical skills relevant to intensive care nursing, including the ability to respond quickly and appropriately in emergency situations, and use of proper body mechanics to assist patients.
