This role involves delivering high-quality nursing care to patients within the PCU, emphasizing safety, patient education, and collaborative team efforts. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and new team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Position Description: Provides comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, develops individualized care plans, and participates actively in patient rehabilitation programs. Ensures accurate and timely documentation of all patient assessments, interventions, and responses in accordance with hospital policies.
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), current state RN license, relevant clinical experience including ICU skills for Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH), and minimum two years of bedside experience.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Responsible for initiating discharge planning from the day of admission and providing patient education on health management and post-discharge care. Ensures effective communication regarding patient status changes to support continuity of care while fostering a calm, positive environment among staff, patients, and families. Applies problem-solving skills for delegation, resource management, and clinical decision-making.
