Job Summary
ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Cardiovascular Nurse, North Charleston, SC This position involves providing specialized critical care to a diverse adult patient population in a 28-bed mixed ICU setting. The role requires delivering high-quality nursing services, including managing ventilated patients, performing advanced hemodynamics, and supporting post-operative cardiac procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Location: North Charleston, SC
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: 36 months of RN experience, with at least one year in an ICU environment; current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale; ability to care for 1-3 ICU patients, manage ventilators, read telemetry strips, and perform procedures such as post-op CABG, Impella, balloon pumps, Swan Ganz, and neuro procedures for aneurysmal hemorrhage; proficiency in Meditech electronic documentation system.
• Preferred Qualifications: BSN degree; advanced certifications such as TNCC; prior travel nursing experience in a facility using Meditech.
• Additional Information: The role involves floating to various units, including the emergency department and Progressive Care Unit, to support patient needs. Candidates should be comfortable handling complex neuro and cardiovascular cases, including those requiring CRRT, advanced hemodynamics, and bedside shift reports. The position offers opportunities for training in neuro ICU or cardiovascular ICU specialties and handling head/neck flap procedures.
