Description
Job Summary:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse position in an outpatient surgery environment. This role involves providing postoperative care to patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring patient stability, and monitoring for any complications. The position requires flexibility to accommodate variable start times and a commitment to completing scheduled shifts.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 10/05/2026 and ending on 01/04/2027.
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license accepted), 1 year of experience in PACU or similar setting, BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, managing ports, airway assessment, and outpatient surgery procedures.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Role involves working in a perioperative setting with outpatient surgeries including general, orthopedic, and urology procedures. Flexibility in schedule is essential due to variable start times and department needs. Travelers' refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours. Candidates must have references covering 1 year within the last 3 years and respond to specific scheduling and prior work experience questions during submission.
