Job Summary
ORT (Operating Room Technician) in a healthcare facility located in California. The role involves supporting surgical teams with instrument handling, sterilization, and ensuring operating room safety protocols are upheld. This position is scheduled for day shifts, with a focus on maintaining high standards of patient care and operational efficiency.
Job Details
- Certifications: BLS, CST, NBSTSA
- Education & Experience Requirements: At least 1 year of OR experience, with trauma level I experience required. Valid California license preferred; pending licenses accepted.
- Schedule: Day shifts, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Responsibilities: Support surgical procedures by preparing operating rooms, assisting with sterile techniques, managing surgical instruments, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Expected to float between nearby facilities as needed.
- Additional Information: Candidates must be able to work 3 of the 5 designated holidays, with all scheduling requests to be made during submission. Travel beyond the specified hospital system is limited; candidates must have at least one year of recent OR experience and provide two references from within the last three years. General technician responsibilities include handling surgical cases such as orthopedic, neuro, vascular, and trauma surgeries, utilizing advanced equipment and maintaining sterile environments.
