Job Summary
ORT (Operating Room Technician) in a surgical setting. Located at a healthcare facility, this role involves assisting in the surgical suite and endoscopy room to ensure safe and skilled patient care. The position requires demonstrating knowledge of aseptic technique, infection control principles, and effective communication with surgical teams.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: BLS (American Heart Association) required. Two years of surgical technician experience in the majority of services provided at the facility preferred, or completion of an accredited surgical technician program. Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists preferred. No minimum years of experience required.
• Schedule: 10-hour days from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Assist in preparing operating rooms, set up instruments and equipment, maintain sterile environments, adhere to safety and infection control standards, and support surgical teams. May be required to assist with patient transport and orientation of new employees.
• Skills: Knowledge of aseptic technique, infection control, confidentiality, high stress management, effective communication, computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite. Must possess good hearing and the ability to interpret data reflective of patient status.
• Additional Information: The role involves participation in meetings, in-services, and may require working in sterile processing. Effective for the period from 09/28/2026 to 12/28/2026.
