Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse Las Vegas, NV. This position involves providing advanced critical care to patients in a 36-bed ICU with a staff experienced in ventilator management, hemodynamics, and invasive procedures. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Job Details
- Location: Las Vegas
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS); Graduate from an accredited nursing program; licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN); current practice in ICU setting; 0 years of experience required
- Responsibilities include managing ventilators, high-flow oxygen, Bipap, Cpap, and administering IV medications including Levophed, Epinephrine, Insulin, Neo-synephrine, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Propofol, Precedex, Fentanyl, Versed, and other paralytics. Procedural skills include intubation, chest tube insertion, bronchoscopy, EGD, colonoscopy, wound debridement, and line insertion.
- The ICU utilizes Meditech documentation system and maintains a policy of floating to all ICUs and IMC units as needed.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Ventilator management, hemodynamics, and unit-specific procedures.
