Job Summary
Operating Room Nurse, North Carolina This position involves coordinating and delivering patient care within a hospital surgical setting. The role requires providing clinical nursing care under physician supervision, developing patient care plans, and working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Job Details

• Schedule: 10-hour shifts from 6:45 am to 5:15 pm, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required: Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina or a compact state by the start date. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is mandatory.
• Responsibilities include administering patient care, assessing and monitoring patients, assisting in surgical procedures, documenting in electronic medical records, and ensuring infection control practices.
• Preferred qualifications include at least one year of nursing experience in a surgical setting, with competence in orthopedic, total joints, spine, urology, endoscopy, general surgery, gynecology, vascular, and robotics procedures. Experience with eye cases is an advantage.
• Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS are required.
• On-call requirements: One weekend and one weeknight per week, with shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., approximately every 6-8 weeks, respectively.
