Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse - Regionally in Sacramento. This role involves caring for patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum, supporting newborns and mothers through a variety of clinical scenarios. The position requires strong emergency response skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced obstetric environment.

Job Details

• Certifications required: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and Advanced AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses)
• Education requirements: No formal degree specified but must be licensed to submit application
• Experience: At least 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Location requirements: No specified geographic restrictions beyond the assignment location
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certification in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring; minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience; at least 1 year in current specialty or related role; valid license to submit application
• Responsibilities include managing standard labor and delivery cases, supporting preterm and term pregnancies, working with a team of 2 RNs and 1 RT during deliveries, and providing care for general GYN patients as well.
• Additional notes: Must be strong in emergency situations, able to work independently; floor-specific orientation of 2-3 days; scheduled every other weekend; scheduled shifts are posted 6 weeks in advance; no self-scheduling
