An RN specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located in a healthcare facility. This role involves maintaining high-quality patient care through comprehensive nursing assessments, patient education, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. The RN will also supervise ancillary nursing personnel, ensure safety standards, and promote positive patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Certifications: BLS Certification required prior to first shift; ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH only)
• Education and Experience: Minimum two (2) years bedside clinical experience; ICU experience preferred
• Location Requirements: Not specified
• Years of Experience: 0.0 years minimum experience required
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week
• Responsibilities include performing nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, documenting patient status, participating in patient rehabilitation, initiating discharge planning, and providing patient education.
• Provides direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
• Actively engages in professional development through continuing education and self-study.
• Assumes charge responsibilities following orientation, with ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
• Performs other duties as requested.
• Uses problem-solving techniques for organizing, setting priorities, and delegating appropriately.
