Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Days Shift Location unspecified. This position requires assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards. The RN is accountable for delivering high-quality nursing services and utilizing specialized knowledge to provide patient-centered care across all age groups.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, Location, and Experience Requirements: Must possess a current, valid RN license in the state of practice, or a temporary/interim RN license, or a compact RN license for the current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area is preferred.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Responsibilities: Demonstrates the ability to assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and discharge planning needs. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to formulate and revise the plan of care, ensuring it reflects patient-specific needs. Provides direct patient care, delegating and supervising activities of other healthcare team members, and promotes continuity of care through effective communication. Documents all aspects of care in the patient record accurately and timely. Participates in professional development, research activities, and quality improvement initiatives. May supervise staff and work flow in some roles. Interacts with patients, families, healthcare providers, and external contacts to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care.
