Job Summary:
The Surgical Technician (Operating Room Technician) position is located in an orthopedics, general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, and urology unit. This role involves preparing the sterile field for surgical procedures, assisting surgeons during operations, and supporting departmental functions in a busy hospital environment. The position requires providing safe, efficient assistance in the operating room settings to facilitate optimal patient care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week, from 09/21/2026 to 10/19/2026
• Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification, 2 years of experience in surgical technologist duties, valid California State License, and adherence to all relevant safety and procedural standards.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma and community hospital settings, knowledge of specialty procedures such as abdominal hysterectomy, arthroscopy, endoscopy, and orthopedic surgeries, and familiarity with medical equipment and sterilization processes.
• Additional Information: Candidates will be responsible for maintaining a sterile environment, assisting in various surgical procedures, supporting the department with equipment maintenance, and adhering to all regulatory and safety policies. Rotation of on-call duties at least one day per week and one weekend per month is required. Orientation includes 24 hours of training.
