Job Summary
Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology (ENT) Surgical Technologist position available at a healthcare facility located in the area. This role involves supporting surgical procedures within the perioperative team, ensuring sterile technique, managing surgical instrumentation, and assisting with patient positioning and operative room readiness. The position is scheduled for daytime shifts, Monday through Friday.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts, minimum 40 hours per week, from 09/21/2026 to 12/20/2026
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program; Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required or obtained within organizationally defined timeframe; current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ophthalmology experience a must; 0 years minimum experience preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in ophthalmology and ENT surgeries; experience with microsurgical instrumentation and specialty ophthalmic and ENT equipment.
- Additional Information: The Surgical Technologist will prepare operating rooms, perform surgical scrub duties, organize instruments and supplies, assist with surgical procedures including ophthalmology and ENT cases, and handle surgical specimens according to hospital standards. Proficiency with specialty equipment such as surgical microscopes, endoscopic equipment, laser systems, and robotic platforms is preferred. The role emphasizes adherence to infection prevention, surgical safety protocols, and participation in quality improvement activities.
