Job Summary
Surgical Technician (ORT) specializing in Operating Room (OR) located in Concord, NC. This position involves supporting surgical teams in a high-volume environment with diverse cases including trauma, orthopedics, spine, cardiovascular, gynecology, robotics, plastics, and more. The role requires experienced OR technicians with a strong background in sterile technique and specific surgical procedures.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with a schedule cycle every 6 weeks. Various shift times may be scheduled as needed, including 7a-7p, 9a-9p, or 11a-11p.
• Required Qualifications: Five or more years of experience as a surgical technician with recent experience in trauma, orthopedics, spine, cardiac, gynecological, robotics, and related specialties. Must hold BLS certification; surgical tech certification is preferred but not required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Certification in surgical technology is advantageous.
• Float: No floating required.
• Additional Information: Candidate must have extensive experience with complex cases such as ALIFs, TLIFs, ACDFs, and posterior/anterior spine surgeries. Neuro experience is a strict requirement. The role involves supporting a busy operating room with advanced departmental equipment and EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Support within Department: Service line clinical supervisors, charge nurses, educators, operating room assistants, unit secretaries, and technical engineers support daily operations.
• Technology/Equipment: Utilizes EPIC electronic medical record system and various reusable surgical equipment.
• Orientation: 2 days of departmental orientation.
• Parking: Free parking available.
• Department Culture: Fast-paced operating room environment with a strong focus on teamwork and clinical excellence.
• Other Notes: Scrub color assigned; a minimum of 5 years of experience required; certification preferred but not mandatory.
