Job Summary
ORT (Operating Room Technician) in Concord, NC. This role involves supporting surgical procedures within a high-volume, specialized surgical unit. The technician will assist with trauma, ortho trauma, spine, hearts, vascular, GYN, robotics, and other surgical cases, ensuring adherence to sterile technique and safety protocols.

Job Details

• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) preferred but not required.
• Education Requirements: Not specified.
• Location: Concord, NC.
• Years of Experience: 5 years required.
• Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: 5 years of experience as a surgical technician, BLS certification, recent comprehensive neuro experience involving cases with Globus, robotic/navigation, ALIFs, TLIFs, ACDFs, posterolateral, and anterior cases.
• Additional Information: Experience with neuro cases is a hard requirement, including familiarity with the procedure types listed. Support staff includes clinical supervisors, charge nurses, educators, OR assistants, unit secretaries, and tech engineers.
• Support within the Department: Service line clinical supervisors, charge nurses, educators, OR assistants, unit secretaries, tech engineers.
• Technology/Equipment: EMR software (EPIC), various department-specific surgical equipment.
• Floating: No.
• Orientation: Two days departmental orientation.
• Scheduling: Rotates every 6 weeks with scheduled shifts or call, including every 4th weekend. Call shifts average six per 6-week cycle with a 45-minute response time; weekend coverage may be in the form of call or scheduled shifts.
• Holidays: Travelers will work approximately 75% of holidays.
• RTO: Manager approval required.
• Shift Notes: Flexibility to accommodate various shifts including 7a-7p, 9a-9p, 11a-11p, depending on unit needs.
• Other Notes: Scrub color provided; parking is free.
