Description
Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse in a healthcare facility. This position involves rotating day and night shifts, with weekend rotations every other week. The role requires experience with cardiothoracic surgery patients and familiarity with devices such as intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP) and Impella. Candidates will be expected to float between intensive care units and intermediate care units and must meet specific experience and certification requirements.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) AHA; must have 2 or more years of experience in a similar setting; experience with cardiothoracic surgery patients and devices such as intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP) and Impella; must have been separated from the organization for at least 6 months; ability to float between units; orientation is weekly; any color scrubs acceptable.
- Additional Information: BILH coversheet required at time of submission. The shift involves 12-hour rotations, including working through winter holidays with two holidays required if applicable. EPIC electronic health record system is mandatory.
