Description

Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) specialty position is located within a healthcare organization. This role involves working a twelve-hour rotating shift, including every other weekend with days and nights alternating. The position requires clinical expertise in cardiothoracic (CT) surgery settings and experience with devices such as intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) and Impella. The candidate will be expected to float between intensive care units and intermediate care units as needed.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Shift times include days and nights with weekend rotation every other week.
  • Required Qualifications: Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA), with 2+ years of experience in a related setting. Must have cardiothoracic surgery experience, including familiarity with devices such as IABP and Impella. Candidates must have been separated from the organization for at least 6 months to be considered.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with devices like IABP and Impella, and prior float experience.
  • Additional Information: Orientation occurs weekly. Any color scrubs are acceptable. The position involves working in cardiothoracic and critical care environments, with responsibilities related to patient stabilization and device management.
