Job Summary
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nurse position is based in a healthcare setting that requires specialized critical care skills. The role involves providing advanced patient care in a high-acuity environment, with responsibilities including managing complex conditions and utilizing advanced medical devices. The schedule consists of 12-hour night shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with every other weekend rotation. During winter holidays, two holidays are required. Orientation is weekly.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications. Must have at least 2 years of experience in a similar setting, with experience in cardiothoracic surgery and familiarity with devices such as IABP and IMPELLA. Candidates must be separated from the healthcare organization for at least 6 months to be considered.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, advanced cardiac care skills, and prior ICU experience with similar equipment.
  • Additional Information: Will be expected to float between Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). Any color scrubs are acceptable for the shift.
